I enclose copies of the Order of Service,

On the 16th. instant I attended the reception

at the German Club where the Fresident proposed the health of king George V in the presence of a very large gathering comprising the principal English Officials and residents. ¡fter the German Consul had proposed the health of the Emperor and Imperial Family, and in the course of his remarks had paid a graceful tribute to the participation of the Government of this Colony and of the English Community in the rejoicings, I made a short reply in German of which I enclose a copy. An account of the reception at the German Club is given in the accompanying cutting from the "Hongkong Daily Press"
